The Agape (Greek for unselfish, giving love) meal commemorates the meal Jesus shared with His disciples on Thursday of Holy Week when He celebrated the Passover. This year will be the 37th time we have shared this meal on Maundy Thursday. We will gather in Fellowship Hall and partake of a simple meal. After the meal, we will have Communion around the table served by either a Deacon or Elder. This has always been a wonderful evening to share in Christian fellowship with your church family. A Love Offering will be received to help defray the cost. The meal will be served promptly at 6:30 p.m. on Maundy Thursday, March 29th. Reservations are a must! Reservation forms will be found in Sunday bulletins or you may call the church office at 412 751-8479… indicating your name and number attending.
TENEBRAE SERVICE GOOD FRIDAY
The Tenebrae (darkness) service commemorates the Crucifixion and is a gradual extinguishment of candles. Scripture, music and quiet meditations are based on the last seven words of Christ. The Sanctuary is stripped of all paraments. As each Scripture is read, a candle is put out until the Sanctuary is in complete darkness. This service begins at 7:30 p.m., March 30.
COMMUNITY EASTER EGG HUNT
The Community Easter Egg Hunt is March 31 from 10 a.m. to noon for children age 1 through fourth grade. We need medium size plastic eggs and individually wrapped candy that will fit into the eggs. NO GUM PLEASE. Donations can be placed in the basket outside the Youth Coordinator’s office (Ben’s office). If anyone wants to donate gifts valued at $10-$12 or a couple dozen cookies, see Carol F. Thank you for your continued support of this community outreach.
SPRING EF PROJECT DATES
EF Project will do its third weekend service project April 20-22. We are hoping to have three work sites where volunteers in middle school through adults can help homeowners who are unable financially or physically to do work at their home. If you know of someone in the Elizabeth Forward area who may be eligible, see Carol F. or a member of the Missions Committee. The cost is $50 for each participant. If you are interested in making a difference in someone's life, prayerfully consider serving. We can make a difference in our community — one soul at a time.
Swedish Weavers meet on Mondays at 7:00 p.m.
Bible Studies meet on Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m.
Art Group meets on Thursdays at 6:00 p.m.
Handbell Rehearsal meets on Thursdays at 7:00 p.m.

OPPORTUNITIES TO SERVE - Something for Everyone
There are currently three choirs (Adult Handbells, Adult Choir and the Sunday School Choirs) that allow us to praise God through the ministry of music.
K.I.T. (Keep in Touch), Library, Our Board of Deacons, Women of Mt. Vernon and Men's Groups, various Youth Groups and Scouts, Chancel Guild, and many activities all provide avenues for effective discipleship, fellowship and service to our community.
Adults and youth alike are serving our community through The Pittsburgh Project, Community Food Bank and other outreach programs.
Please join us.
