SERVICES AND MORE
SUMMER WORSHIP TIMES
Beginning Sunday, May 27, there will be a 9 a.m. and a 10:30 a.m. worship service. The 9 a.m. service will be a more contemporary service outdoors (weather permitting) with a relaxed atmosphere. Bring your coffee, chair and comfortable shoes. This service is held on the lawn near the sundial to the left of the sanctuary entrance. It will last for 45 minutes to accommodate the changeover in parking. The 10:30 a.m. service will stay the same and will last until 11:30 a.m.

That’s right! 2nd and 4th Wednesdays! We’re going to spend the Summer looking at a video series “Touring the Holy Land” while at the same time walking through major sections of the Old Testament. It’s a video series… how scary can that be? Bring a Bible and join us!
Did I mention 2nd and 4th Wednesdays? Any questions ask Rev. Little.

If you're interested in doing a basket, please contact the church office for more information.
- Jam in June
Well, it’s that time of year for the strawberries to be coming, so what better way to keep them for quite a while than to make them into JAM!
The kitchen committee will be making the jam in 8 oz. jars this year and will be selling them for $5.00 a jar.
We will be selling them at the strawberry festival this year but also will be taking pre-orders if you want to make sure you get a jar or two or three……..
If we still have any left after the festival, we will sell them after church on Sundays but are hoping for a complete sell out.
Please support the kitchen committee in this endeavor to help raise funds for the new kitchen.
On another note, we want to say our sincere thanks to all who purchased soup from us this year. We plan to do it again starting in the fall so look out for notices in the church bulletin and also the newsletter.
- Aunt Carol’s Gormet Dips Fundraiser for Twin Rivers Teen Outreach
With graduation parties and July 4th celebrations just around the corner, why not include some dips as part of the food offerings? Twin Rivers Teen Outreach (formerly Young Life) - an outreach for high school students in the Elizabeth Forward area led by Ben Little - will have a tasty fundraiser. Aunt Carol's Gourmet Dips include veggie dips (mix with sour cream and mayonnaise), dessert dips (mix with cream cheese and frozen whipped topping), and olive oil dips (mix with olive oil). Each packet makes 2 cups of dip, 1 pie filling for dessert dips, or 1 cup of olive oil dips. Several varieties will be available to sample during the Strawberry Festival on June 9. Each mix is $5 with $2 going to Twin Rivers Teen Outreach.
The deadline to order is June 10. To order, see any Twin Rivers Teen Outreach board member (Bob and Carol F. Dustin and Maureen Y., Dan M., or Dan and Robin P.). Order forms also will be available in the bulletin.

OPPORTUNITIES TO SERVE - Something for Everyone
There are currently three choirs (Adult Handbells, Adult Choir and the Sunday School Choirs) that allow us to praise God through the ministry of music.
K.I.T. (Keep in Touch), Library, Our Board of Deacons, Women of Mt. Vernon and Men's Groups, various Youth Groups and Scouts, Chancel Guild, and many activities all provide avenues for effective discipleship, fellowship and service to our community.
Adults and youth alike are serving our community through The Pittsburgh Project, Community Food Bank and other outreach programs.
Please join us.
